Duke Street Children's Centre provides Early Years Provision in many different forms.We work together with Duke Street Nursey School and the head from this Nursery is indeed our Head of Centre too. Additionally to Duke Street Nursery, Dragonflies which is run within Duke Street Nursey as an early and later in the day care centre is supported by the Nursey and the Children's Centre staff. Duke Street Nursery can provide nursery places from the age of 3 years.

The Children's Centre & Staff also support Pipers Daycare Nursery, Southport Road. Chorley. They are a private daycare centre providing childcare from age 6weeks.

Duke Street Children's Centre does offer Creche facility for Children under 5yrs whilst parents are on the premises undertaking a course, counselling, support group ETC.

Children who use our creche will play and take part in activities structured to their needs and ages. Children who use the creche regulary will be appointed their own key worker and a learning file will be created for Parents to use, or be passed on to Nursey when they move on. Our Creche staff are qualified in childcare to a minimum of Level 3 and are all First Aid Qualified suitable for the age group they are working with.

The Children's Centre's childminding network has around twenty registered childminders who are quality assured, with some also offering the free early years entitlement for three and four year olds.  Please have a look at the childminder's information on the left.
